[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: variable leslie speed with variable resistor
All that talk of using a dimmer switch with a Leslie motor reminded me of
the RedGreen episode where Red builds a "beer bottle clock" during the
Handyman's Corner segment. (He originally tried it without a dimmer
but the electric motor turned the hand so fast that it smashed the bottle
into the fridge). Just thought there was some similarity here.
What if Red Green really did have a Hammond ("chopped", I'm sure)?
I can picture him trying to make his own Leslie with a dimmer, an
old turntable, some old car speakers and, of course, the handyman's
secret weapon... duct tape.
:) (for those who are wondering what the hell the Red Green
show is, it's a TV show on PBS that's something like
HomeImprovement meets MontyPython out in the woods.)
