Your point is well taken; your methods, however, are questionable. You
have just demonstrated that you are capable of providing a thoughtful
argument as to why most Hammonds should not be chopped. In your EARLIER
post, all you really proved was that you are capable and willing to call
people names.

When you -- or anyone else -- flames someone, you deflect discussions
from the real issue(s) to personal defense. It's plain old human nature
rearing its ugly head.

To reword your original argument:

> > You are chopping your C-3? You're a schmuck. Go buy a Voce or
> > something.

"You are chopping your C-3? Why would you do that, when there's so few
of them left? Once yours is gone, there's no way to replace it. The
'new' Hammonds aren't even close to the originals! Have you considered
a Voce or something? The sound is pretty close, and if you get a good
enough keyboard controller, it'll do fine for what you're looking to
do. Plus, it's light -- which is what I think you're REALLY after."

See the difference? Yeah, it takes more thought and effort, but it
stays focused on what's REALLY bothering you, not on whether the poster
is -- or is not -- a "schmuck", which is immaterial in the long run.

One of the great things about the Hammond ML is the lack of irrational
arguments and name calling. Let's all try to keep it that way!
