The old tubes in the BC type were troblesome, and most of the time very
microphonic... try replacing the tube that is microphonic (tap it and listen
for noise) as far as the note goes sounds like it needs oil to get going, try
another dose of Hammond oil in the cups, if this doesn't work after a few
days of rest, you may have to oil it from under the TG.
