The componenets (drivers, speakers, amp) are identical to a 147 and if you don't mind the way it looks (mine stays at home) its a great piece of equipment. The "RV" accordingly to Al Goff is nothing but trouble. I asked him about adding the RV to mine and he said your much better off installing reverb in the organ, he's got a kit to do it. Al's quote from a message he sent me follows; >> >>The reverb socket was for a reverb amp and speakers in the RV models. They >>were junk and troublesome. If you want reverb, add it in the organ with our >>reverb kit. This is far better than in the Leslie where it does NOT belong! Some people have told me that the 247 does not sound like a 147 or at least not as good as a 147. I don't really know, I've never had the opportunity to do a side by side comparison but if you're going to use it for home and not for gigging I thinks it's a very good compromise purchase considering the difference in the prevailing local prices for the two units.
