Tone Wheel History Buffs,

        MITA - The Musical Instruments Technicians Association makes
available to it's members copies of the original Hammond Tone Wheel Organ
patents filed on April 24, 1934.  They consist of 16 pages of text and 18
pages of patent diagrams including the first model that used a crank,
instead of a start motor, to start the organ.

        Since the drawings are very detailed and would probably not scan
well and because it would be a major job to type the 16 pages of very small
print, MITA can make paper copies available, but will have to charge $5.00
each set to nonmembers for copying and postage. You would need to send a
check in advance, since MITA does not accept charge cards.
