I've never seen an M3 with a back.  Backs were optional equipment on 
spinets, though later M-100 and L-100 series organs had a fiberboard back 
(mid-60's).  My M-100 that I used to have (my first Hammond) never had a 
back.  It did have a fiberboard cover over the tone generator, though.

$150 - $250 seems to be the going rate in most classified ads and 
according to folks on this list, maybe $300 if it's absolutely spotless 
with bench and all original books.  I would offer $250 max for it.
