Theo-- After the Shootout testing, I left an XM-1 set up on our MIDI B-3 for everyone to hear as an A-B comparison. Consensus opinion among several dozen of my customers is that it has more bass the B-3 on the common drawbar settings with the first three or four DB's out all of the way. But, as one of my veteran Gospel customers said, he just pushes the first few DB's in a few numbers and it loses the deep bass. They couldn't belive the accuracy of the chorus. (neither could we) Oddly enough, the dozen or so Blues/Jazz organists who have played it love it *because* of the bass boost. I have sold several to people who just showed up for parts, etc. It gives them more bass for their left hand. I personally like the VOCE V-3, the XB-2, and the XM-1 for different reasons. They all blow-away any other HAMMOND-clone product. We will be putting several XM-1's on tour with bands soon and on network TV shows. They will either be replacing other keyboards or adding HAMMOND sound to the band, and *ALL* will be used with Leslie's or Pro-3's. Other XM-1's are being shipped to recording studio's. As Mark Longo and the rest of the guys who attended the Shootout noted, there was no clear winner overall in all categories. Just like there is a big discussion about which B-3 model year group sounds the best, etc. The more I hear the V-3, the more I like it. Same with the XM-1. We already have a ton of XB-2's on tour, so I assume these will follow. Al
