Hello, again, folks! Been away for a while. Had about a million Hammond list letters when I got back. (Whew) Anyway, As some of you know, I have a Hammond E182, which Al Goff suggested I scrap. I took your advice to heart, Al, but this was my grandmother's organ, (she bought it new), and for obvious sentimental reasons I think I'll keep it. So, since I want to fix the couple of things that are wrong with it, here goes..... I was cleaning the dust off of the tabs. I made the mistake of using a household cleaner, and the two tabs that had red colored letters suddenly had no letters. I should clarify, there are still letters etched into the plastic, but the color is gone. Any suggestions as to re-coloring the letters? I am thinking of something I can fill the letters with, that can be wiped off or that can be cleaned with a solvent that will not affect the plastic tabs. Any ideas would be welcome. By the way, Al, I still need a sugestion regarding replacing the 12DW7's with something that will work. I know this organ isn't worth spending any money on, but I am a tech and will only spend my time, for the most part. Thanks in advance, everyone, and have a great Holiday weekend. All the best, Jim Gentry JG Music jimg@digital.net
