Square Metal Box.... Run motor, sleeve bearings and Coils of wire, case
soldered closed.

Round metal box..... Vibrato scanner, will be damaged by too much oil.

Suggestion, STOP OILING (I'm not trying to be rude, I am concerned of
expensive damage being done)  Let it sit now for a week or maybe 2, then
see how it does.  If it hasen;t been oiled for awhile, it can take that
long for the oil to get to all the bearings.

The problem is the run motor has little torque (power), hence the start
motor is the power to get it up to speed and the run motor keeps it
there.  I can stand some drag, but if it gets too much, it all stops
dead.

BTW, an over oiled scanner that gets into trouble is worth a few hours
of work and words not spoken in polite company to remove and reinstall,
plus around a 100 bucks when you ship it where ever to get it rebuilt.
