[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Novochord (was: weird ...)
Perhaps everyone else on the list already knows this -- but I'd sure appreciate an explanation of what a "Novochord" is ... It receives a very brief note in my 1951 copy of "The Oxford Companion to Music" under "Electric Musical Instruments", but there's no further explanation. It's treated separately from the tonewheel Hammond (which gets almost a whole column, and a diagram of the tone generator to boot, as well as a separ- ate plate showing what looks like a BV :-) -- was the company that made Novochords bought out by Hammond at some later date? jb -- John Botari -- bnhoj@ecsask80.innovplace.saskatoon.sk.ca Saskatoon - Saskatchewan - Canada Voice: +1 306 975 6918 Fax: +1 306 975 6929
