Re: T500?

Well, Yes a T-500 is a Hammond spinet model, and yes it does have a
Tonewheel Genarator. But depending on which type of music your going to play
or how serious you are about playing maybe this should'nt be your first
choice for an instrument. First if you want a spinet you'll probably be more
happy with an M-3 or an M-100 or even an L-100(last choice). But if your
really serious about learning to play Hammond Organ then you should consider
a Console Organ. Know ofcourse your first choice should be a B-3(or C-3) but
with the current market unless you buy a real piece of shit, these organs are
really expensive right now. But hell maybe you can afford a B-3 and if so I'd
be the first to suggest to bite the bullet and buy a B-3. If not you should
look for an A-100(101, 102, 105, 143) because these organs are indentically
electronically the same organs except for that an A-100 is self-contained
with its own speaker unit. Which is nice if you dont have or cant afford a
Leslie right away. And the furniture(meaning the cabinet) is different also.
So then there's several other models that are fairly inexpensive(ofcourse
expensive means something different to everybody) these models are BV, CV,
B-2, C-2, BC, D, DV, A, AB, B. None of these models models have the famous
Hammond Percussion Feature but this feature can be added to any of these
models for about $200.00. So figure if you buy lets say for instance , a B-2
for $1500.00 then add Percussion to it, well then hell you,ve pretty much got
a B-3 for $1700.00. And you can find a Leslie(122, 22H, 21H, 142, 145, 147,
47) for about $1000.00(but for this price it better be MINT CONDITION) so now
you've only invested $2700.00 and that may sound like a lot of money but what
you got at this point this would be a screaming deal.

PS Just a little playing tip. Learn to play basslines(if you intend on
playing Jazz or Blues) with your left hand. The authurity was right who ever
this crazy person is but I have to say I agree!
