The first Pro-3's did have a problem with the diaphram, but that has been fixed. My Pro-3 has been a VERY reliable piece of equipement. No, the sound isn't perfect, but it MUCH better that any of the electronic simulators. And not everyone can afford or wants to carry a 122.
