I took a look in my Adobe Type Library :
1) the old logo, which is in front between the 2 manuals of my '37 model =
A,
is definitely printed in a font called : Friz Quadrata. It is very cle=
ar
in the shape of the letters M and O.
2) the newer logo seems to be based on something like Clarendon Bold or =
=20
Utopia Black. Some modifications have been made :
- the letters have been stretched a little bit wider
- all bottom serif have been removed (except for the S and Z in ... gu=
ess
what !)
- the top internal serif of the H have been removed also
- the O is squarer
This is giving this unique look to the logo
IMHO, i prefer the first font, it looks more *classy* to me ...
Anyone else ?
