[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Troubles with Hammond Suzuki Europe
Hello, folks. Last week I asked to a friend of mine, who was coming from Rome to Milan, to buy at CIAMPI STRUMENTI MUSICALI in Rome (the official Italian importer of Hammond Suzuki) the upgrade ROMs for the XB-2 organ. When I opened the packing I was very disappointed in seeing that there were two actally identical EPROMs with hand-written labels and without the red and blue markers on them. The installation guide, that was made up by four fotocopies, explained how to mount the two EPROMs: the red chip in the left socket and the blue chip in the right one. But I had two uncolored U16 EPROMs. Besides there wasn't the owner's manual. I suspected there was nothing original in my hands (hand written labels, fotocopies, no owner's manual, no original packing). So I immediately called Ciampi who said that he had already realized the mistake and would send me the U17 chip as soon as possible (I'm still waiting). But when I complained about the lack of the manual, he said that he knew nothing about it and what I had was all that Hammond Suzuki send him. Now, as the chipset is not so cheap (in Italy it costs the same as the expression pedal) I do want the owner's manual, but I wonder whom is to blame: Ciampi, or Hammond Suzuki Europe? Is there anybody who had some experience with Hammond Suzuki Europe B.V. or with Ciampi? Is really possible that Hammond Suzuki never send any owner's guide to Ciampi? Is there anyone who knows the e-mail address of Hammond Suzuki Europe B.V. in Holland? The official Italian dealer of Hammond Suzuki is: CIAMPI Via Germanico, 57 00192 Roma Tel. +39 (06) 39723546 Fax +39 (06) 39723143 Thanks in advance. Pagus e-mail: pagus@energy.it
