[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] newcomer with B3/Leslie technical problem (question)
Hi, I just moved out to my first apartment and as I was furnishing through used furniture, I ran across a "free keyboard" advertisement. To make a long (but excellent) story short, I now have a B3 with a Leslie in my apartment. After a short panic was resolved when I found that the power terminals got ripped which explained why I didn't have any power, I got the Hammond started. Which leads me to the problem (which was why the "keyboard" was free), no sound is produced. Both pieces have power, I can change the speed of the Leslie (chorale - tremolo), so besides power, there is some communication. Is there anything I can do to isolate the problem to a particular piece? (and then fix it, but that's probably a different posting). Please reply privately (unless other people are interested) thanks, Reuven P.S. The fuse on the Leslie was blown (1 leg broken - old style fuse). I was able to replace it with a 1.5 A (slow-blow) fuse, but it was not built the same way. Hopefully, that doesn't matter.
