I don't hear this on mine although I did hear some popping noise when
moving the volume pedal. This is caused by the internal SPIN lesley
simulator and can be bypassed by coming out of the "effects out" instead
of channel 1 or 2 out.

However, the default patches on the V3 have a very strong key click. If
you want to adjust it with the MIDI drawbar unit, just dial it down. If
you don't have a drawbar unit in the store you can edit the patch to
test it:

     Cursor dial
        \ _________
         O | LCD | O
        o --------- \
       / \
     edit Data dial
     button

To change the key click on the V3:

1. Push the edit button.
2. Turn the Cursor dial to the right until you get to "P Keyclick Level"
3. Turn the Data dial to decrease the setting. Play some notes while you

   change the settings.
4. To exit Edit mode, push the Edit button again. Turn the cursor dial
to the left to exit without changing the patch.

While you are in Edit mode, experiment with some other values such as
the drawbar settings. Even if you do end up changing a default patch you
or the salesperson can return the unit to factory settings easily (its
in the book).

Mark, what store has both the V3 and the XM-1?

Joe
