As I have read on this I have a 1951 C2 - same instrument, different furniture. I love it, sounds great. The preamp is definitely different than the B-3, but there is a Trek II kit available for this model. I know, cuz I've got one. The biggest shortcoming might be if it has ratchet drawbars. You should check - these old drawbars are awkward to use while you're playing because harmonics drop in and out while you move 'em. Drives me nuts, and I'm currently looking into upgrading mine. Good luck, and let us know how much you paid for it! :-) Dave
