Paul:

I dragged the Phoenix album out of the archives last night, blew the
dust off of it, and put it on the turntable. My 5-year old wanted to
know what it was. I tried to explain that it was called a "record
album". He only knows CDs and tapes!

Great Hammond. However, Craig apparently didn't play organ on Flight of
the Phoenix. Mark Farner took credit for that cut in the liner notes.
I don't know if I ever noted that before.

The Hammond sounds quite natural on the album. I do remember a live
concert on TV when it didn't. That's where I seem to remember seeing
and hearing the unusual effects. I don't think my memory is that faulty
yet ... at least I hope not!
