Yesterday I auditioned a Pro-3 with a "Blue - Tube " efx hooked into it.  
Now this was the guitar version of the Blue-Tube and not the rack mount.  
But I must tell you that I could hear little difference between the 
Blue-Tube distortion and the limiter switch on the Pro-3.  I doubt that 
you would be able to tell the difference in a band mix.
