I'm very into JTQs early stuff. I hate their newer stuff with the singers, though. I've seen them gig a few times and they turn up on UK TV once in a while. I get the feeling that James heart is no longer in it, though, as he often just sits playing chords once in while and letting other ppl lead the band (on his new songs anyway). I reckon that "the first 64 mins" and "wait a minute" are the best JTQ albums. They started in the 70s, btw. I engineered them once - I think he said that he got his C3 from a granny for a fiver. The case of it was tottally knackerd (and sawn in half) (when I met him, not when he bought it!) and he had a wah wah wired into it. Unfortunately at the time I didn't know much about hammonds and didn't peek around for any mods. -- Bevis Peters, bevis@apg.ph.ucl.ac.uk http://www.phys.ucl.ac.uk/~bp/ (APL has so few views, mine might as well be them)
