I LOVE T.O.P and I got Doc's autograph once. I was thrilled when he also
asked for mine! (Long story... they actually opened for my band in the
early '80's before their come-back).
The only prob with T.O.P. is that some of us (all of us?) remember what
the band sounded like with Chester Thompson. The real deal! Doppler and
Bass pedals. I can still play some of the solo from Squib Cakes, but my
pedal technique is sorely lacking.
It's just hard to hear that band without Hammond/Leslie (IMHO).
BTW.. wasn't Tony Labrasca considering having the formidable Mr.
Thompson do a Hammond workshop video? Or was that just a
rumor/fantasy on my part? I'd certainly buy one!
