Hip!

Booker T definitely is Hip! I'll never tire of him either. I recently
sent a post about him and the Mustang (what's his real name, anyway?) and
Lonnie Smith and Baby Cortez. Jimmy Mcgriff is F great, too. I've got an
album by him called "the Main Squeeze". I was in a band that did
Hip-Hug-Her, even though it was a bit different from our more psychedelic
garage stuff. I would welcome any suggestions on Jazz, Soul or R&B
artists to look out for who just make you stand up and say DAMN! (Guess
that's where Jimmy Smith got his inspiration, ha-ha ;). Baby Face
Willette is a recent discovery for me, as with the Mustang. Billy
Larkin is one I've stumbled accross too, which is great.
