RE: horn sections



Funny, that isn't the first time I have heard that!  A friend of mine
(the person who owned the dealership I bought my truck at) is quite an
avid guitar player, as well as B3 tickler/owner.  We were talking about
his band in Connecticut while he was jamming with my band in NH... I was
telling him how his horn section really filled out the sound.  His reply
was "yeah, they sound good but if anything changes in the song... they
get lost.  If it isn't on their staff paper written out for them; forget
it!  Jamming and trying to write music with them is incredibly painful
even though my horn players are veteran musicians..."
Funny how that is...
