Too much bass on C3

I've got a C3/Leslie 145 and despite having the tonewheel generator
recalibrated the volume seems to increase slightly on the lower tones
making the sound too bassy.

This can be problematic if playing the left and right hands on the same
manual.

Has my generator been wrongly recalibrated or is there some problem in
the pre-amp.  Can the EQ on the pre-amp be changed easily?  The pre-amp
has new tubes and 2 years ago had new capacitors (Goff kit).  I'm
running the organ with the tone control at max treble.
