Have you ever seen the interior of an 860? It doesn't appear to be as easy as you say, at least not last night in the dimly lit recording studio where I first noticed the problem. Everything is so tight in that cabinet, and there only way in is from the back. I had a hard time fitting my hands in there, much less a screwdriver with ample leverage... also, it looks like I'm going to need to remove the motor to get the belt out of there, not just the speaker. As far as mechanical ability goes... I'm no tech, but at the same time, I'm no idiot. I just don't know my way around Hammonds and Leslies too well yet. I've got a Hohner Marine Band on standby, just in case this whole Hammond thing doesn't work out... -- Jeff Conlin jconli1@gl.umbc.edu
