Anyone ever try those industrial rubber belts, actually o-rings,
available from the usual gear and pulley suppliers? There's one type
that is heat fusible. You cut it 10% shorter than the length you need and
melt the two ends together. That could make for a simple replacement
for the 860. I doubt there would be any pulley slip from those silicon
belts though.
