The factory tone generator EQ curve is far from flat. The lowest TG freq on a
stock B-3 manual is #13, which can be heard full volume on C#2 with only the
first brown DB out. C #2 and below to C #1 repeats or "foldsback" tones 13-25
at less volume. When more DB's are out the tones are additive (with a tube
preamp) so the organ EQ is *always* changing relative to itself on a specific
hand position.  Foldback is one of several design characteristics in the
organ which will foil all attempts at perfect TG EQ on any HAMMOND. This is
the nature of the beast.   

Re-EQing a generator is not easy to do and requires a definite plan.  Dave
Backus and other board members who have done this soon realized that the
numerical readings are almost meaningless. They may get it in the ball park,
but the job needs to be finished by ear with the Leslie attached.
